Trek Full Suspension Mountain Bikes
Trek make such a great range of full suspension bikes that you don’t need to look elsewhere. They’re the favourite for Cycleshack staff and we ride them in Utah every year - your own Trek Bikes experts rate these bikes as the best, so why wouldn’t you?
The Trek Fuel range is where to start - starting at £2200, these are great value ‘do-it’all’ bikes - they truly will go anywhere. The Fuel EX starts with the aluminium versions, starting at £2200 and going up through the range to £7625 for the carbon models. Our owner Steve swears by this bike and takes it to Moab every time he goes - it really is such a comfortable, lightweight and capable bike that he won’t look at anything else. For serious upgrades (and serious money) there are also Fuel MX and Fuel LX ranges - going up to £7800! Check out Trek’s Fuel bike range here
Next up is the Top Fuel. Whereas the Trek Fuel EX is a more capable, all-around trail bike with more suspension travel, the Trek Top Fuel is a faster, more efficient, and lighter cross-country (XC) race bike designed for climbing and flat terrain. The Fuel EX features more travel and a design focused on downhill confidence, whereas the Top Fuel prioritises speed and efficiency with less travel and features that enhance climbing performance, like its climb switch and geometry adjustments. The Trek Slash is a much more meaty, aggressive bike for serious downhill use, ready forthe gnarliest trails on the planet. With plenty of travel and amazing high-pivot suspension, the Slash is built to descend take on anything. Longer travel, heavier, chunkier and great fun if you’re a serious downhill type. Take this one to Bike Park Wales! See the Slash on Trek’s website
The chunkiest downhill bike that Trek make is the Session. This is for serious downhill speed merchants only and is an indestructible machine for throwing down extreme rocky hillsides. It has a massive 200m of travel and really is for the very serious.
